The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack Prized by Canadian Automotive Journalists
Proving that the new Golf Alltrack is a stand-out vehicle, it was recently named the Canadian Car of the Year by AJAC, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada.
The new Alltrack finished ahead of the BMW M2 and the Hyundai Elantra Sport to win top honors after beating all the vehicles in its class. The Canadian Car of the Year is determined after a week of intensive trials in which AJAC member journalists evaluate each new vehicle on the market back to back using a series of criteria ranging from comfort to performance and interior space.
Next, vehicles in the same segment are evaluated one after the other to determine the winner in each segment. Then, the points of each winner are compared to determine the Canadian Car of the Year.
The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack is a Charm on the Road
Powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the 2017 Alltrack Golf offers 170 horsepower to the driver’s right foot. A dual-clutch automatic transmission delivers power to all four wheels for perfect handling regardless of road conditions. If you have to venture far off the beaten path, the Alltrack also offers an off-road driving mode so that you will be able to cross any obstacle without too much difficulty.
